If a legitimate email message was mistakenly treated as spam...

Please do one of the following:

  • Go to Socket's Spam Storage Center at www.socket.net/spam.
  • Log in with your e-mail username and password.
  • Browse through your rejected e-mails (most recent are shown first) and locate the falsely rejected e-mail.
  • Click on the subject of the e-mail. This will show the message in the lower section of the screen.

Add to FRIENDS List

  • Click "Allow FRIEND" to let the Sender of the message bypass your Spam Filter
  • In the upper section of the screen you will see the sender's address automatically filled in the text box.
  • Make changes if necessary, and click ALLOW ADDRESS.
  • The sender will now be able to reach your regular E-mail Inbox.

Note: it is not always possible to prevent "false rejections." Socket's technical experts work their best, but we offer no guarantees. If e-mail is absolutely critical for your business, do not use a spam filter (ours or anyone elses). This is because spam filters attempt to locate unwanted e-mail based on the behavioral content of the message. No modern computer can predict human behavior with 100% efficiency.
