Network Operations Manager
Socket is a growing Missouri-based telecommunications company looking for a strong leader to oversee our network operations department. Individual will be responsible for day to day management of existing operations staff as well as training and hiring new recruits. Responsible for long term planning for best practices and network expansions. Must have telecommunications experience and have managed a staff of 5+ for more than 2 years.
Work responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the network operations team.
- Test and review network performance metrics to ensure optimal network operation and customer experience.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all facilities and network elements for performance, access control, security and environmental conditions.
- Detect and resolve problems and ensure uninterrupted operation of the networks.
- Assess company’s current and future network needs, identify defects in operating processes and make recommendations.
- Schedule and coordinate all network maintenance activity.
- Ensure proper security measures are in place to protect company operating data, hardware and software.
- Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of network operations team members.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related technical discipline.
- Minimum six years experience in the IT field or related area.
- Minimum two years management experience.
- Experience with TDM, SIP, MPLS, ATM & BGP will be beneficial for the candidate.
